Iran's New Unilateral Tourist Visa Waiver Program
The Islamic Republic of Iran has recently implemented a new unilateral tourist visa waiver program in an effort to boost tourism and strengthen relations with other countries.
Under this new policy, citizens from 28 selected countries will be able to visit Iran for up to 15 days every 6 months without needing to obtain a tourist visa. The visa waiver is valid for holders of ordinary passports only and is non-extendable. The 28 countries included in the visa waiver program are: Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Croatia, Cuba, India (only via air travel), Indonesia, Japan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Tanzania, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
